Who we are

Debra Yonkers, Executive Director /  Kingdom Homestead’s programs:

  •    Love N Grace Healing Center
  •    Empowered Kids

Introduction:

Empowered Kids provides school aged children with the encouragement, empowerment and life changing skills that empowers them to become better learners. This is done by teaching the students tools that they can use into their adulthood. There is no cost to the student, family, school and no insurance is needed. We are a donor / grant supported non-profit organization.

We provide Positive Behavioral Modification (taught in the school) to students and care providers so the students can be better learners.  Along the path, they’ll be empowered with Hope, Identity, Purpose and Truth.

Mission:

Teaching children how to heal from life’s hurts, so they can enjoy their education and grow to be all they were created to be. Care is offered in the school, during the school day where it is easier for the student to attend the sessions.

Vision:

To heal the child of life’s hurts positively affecting the family while creating a healthier, more hopeful future and community.

Results:

Results are measured on several occasions.  There are 3 forms:  self-reported by the student, and by the teachers/school administrators.  In the first 3 months over 20 students, grades k-6th were cared for weekly.  They learned to trust and find hope again as well as tools to help them deal with life’s hurts.  They were empowered with “I Am” truth statements about themselves.  3 families have asked for more care for the whole family.

Transformation:

It only takes 10% of a community to decide to do life in a healthier way (healed finding hope, identity, purpose and truth) to change a student, the school and the communities’ direction.

Kingdom Homestead is a 501C3 public charity with 2 dba organizations.

Empowered Kids – Caring for the whole child.  Helping students in the schools be better learners by teaching them about their identity, purpose, truth and hope so they can soar above life’s issues and be all they’re created to be.   Teaches and shows children resilience to overcome their ACE’s.

Love N Grace Healing Centers – Is a place for adults and children to heal from life’s hurts.  We teach all how to overcome life’s challenges with scripture, prayer and Jesus Christ. Often people, who come for care, have been living with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s) for 40, 50 even 60 years.  Suffering from pain and lies that have made them unable to be healthy contributors.  Love N Grace Healing Centers will walk alongside them while they heal.  We also will encourage them to use these tools in the future and help others along the way.

*Love N Grace Healing Centers was previously the Muskegon office of Spiritual Care Consultants of Western Michigan.  In October 2018, it was decided that after 8 years of offering great care it was time to become independent so we can do more of what God’s called us to do.  The Kingdom Homestead board agreed 100%.  The mission is to offer more Love N Grace to the hurting that need healing.  One way we’re getting that done is by partnering with local non-profits and medical facilities to work together loving and healing the hurting.
